From the entrance, this story begins to unfold. A sculptural wooden frame, inspired by the curved rhythm of rowing oars and the silhouette of traditional Maldivian boats, immerses guests in the spirit of the islands through form and feeling.

Inside, the design draws from the elements of the traditional dhoni: rich wood tones reminiscent of boat hulls aged by salt and time, vertical rope lattices that evoke hand-tied fishing nets, and woven rattan volumes that float above the buffet, recalling fishing traps suspended in still water. A sculptural fish-shaped chandelier anchors the centre of the space, symbolising cultural continuity and celebration.

Colours are drawn from the sea and shoreline: deep aquas, coral greens, weathered timbers, and matte whites. This palette finds its strongest expression in the long buffet, which extends through the restaurant like a reflection of the sea stretching beyond the room. Textiles and finishes are selected for their texture and authenticity, softening the restaurant’s expansive scale while maintaining clarity in the zoning and circulation.

Surrounded by tropical foliage and shaded by architectural louvres, the terrace becomes a vibrant, relaxed extension of the dining room, a place to gather, pause, and reconnect with the essence of the Maldives.
